Expressive Fall Views-Plein Air Painting

  • Slow River Studio 17 Main Street Topsfield, MA (map)

Hosted by Slow River studio

September is a great time to get outside and paint the landscape! We still have a full color spectrum, but the light is changing and the greens start to turn a little warm prior to the full October foliage.  Spots of reds and orange appear as an early peek into fall.  The light is fantastic.

Paint in marsh and water views in Essex, MA with a cadre of painters. Enjoy painting and comraderie with other painters. We always have a lot of fun!

This two-day workshop with celebrated artist Amy Brnger is designed to help painters translate the beauty of the mid-September landscape into dynamic, expressive work. Amy will focus on helping painters find major shapes in the landscape, edit unnecessary details, utilize brush energy to reflect the changing landscape and light, and infuse their paintings with the energy of the season using a split primary palette.
