In TWO DAYS of Painting: Finding Beauty in Everyday Spaces, Amy Brnger will guide students through her own process for making interior paintings from the everyday views we often overlook. Working from interior setups, we'll explore how to find a strong composition, simplify what we see, and build paintings that feel intimate, luminous, and full of quiet life. Register here:

Day One begins with exploratory sketches to find a simple but compelling composition. We'll work on identifying major shapes, establishing a strong value structure, and reviewing perspective before beginning a painting that captures the scene with confidence and clarity.
Day Two opens with a warmup sketch before returning to the interior painting — refining color relationships, simplifying forms, and identifying the "star" of the composition that makes the whole painting sing.
